Hi Manel! This is todays daily. Check please.
I’m at Thailand. It doesn’t become the feeling traveling abroad. Is it the result that I often speak English after I leave Japan from December of the last year? My feeling is very strangeness or wonder when I hear Japanese at the airport. I guess I used English with teachers at school, it adjusts to my ear. I hear the conversation of white people sitting down in front of me. It is totally different until now. It’s sound more slowly. I should say this is a mysterious feeling.
Suddenly、 a white man asked me “your cellphone connect by wifi?” at a cafe. He was European, that why I watched his passport. His English difficult for me to hear. because his voice was lower than my teachers. I could guess what he said but it’s not cleally, I couldn’t hear all of it.
I decide to stay in Bangkok today. I want to buy a flip-flop in Sunday market tomorrow. And I also want to eat “kao mangai” that is boiled checkin with rice.
There are many tuktuks around Bangkok. Tukutkus are popular with tourist but they often rip off from us. So we have to negotiate to driver before take it. Tukutukus are one of the best transportation which I love in the world. I only use it when I stay in Bangkok. But they make pollution, with the result that they are getting less and less number recently.
Hidesan, this is my evaluation for you.
In a span of 4 months, the student was shown enthusiasm during the class. Hide-san seemed very interested about the lesson, although, sometimes, he was hesitant in expressing his ideas. When we started, we had our pronunciation class. I noticed, there were a lot of things he needed to learn and develop in his speech. Good thing was, he had this passion to overcome his weakness.
After pronunciation, we did conversation class using Callan method. At first, it wasn’t that easy for him but because of constant practice, he could do it. And he did very well. On the other hand, he had some difficulties at times in grammar most especially on using articles, prepositions and pronouncing complex words.
Vocabulary is very important tool to someone who wants to speak English well. My student is aware of this and he knows he has limited word bank. As a result, he experiences difficulty in conveying his thoughts. But after a couple of months of practising conversing in Callan way and discussing some articles in the website, I could see noticeable development in his English skills as he could speak in sentences with less difficulty and he could understand some complex words. He was even more confident to talk in class. Nevertheless, there are still things he has to polish. Overall, he did a great job for showing great effort in preparing for his class!
